From the day we opened our doors near the Rockwall–Heath border, Deadstock Barbershop has built a reputation as a trusted destination for premium men’s haircuts and professional grooming. Since 2020, we’ve focused on delivering consistent, high-quality service while respecting the busy schedules of our clients. Our goal is simple: have you looking sharp and confidently back to your day without sacrificing quality.

At Deadstock Barbershop, we believe grooming is more than a haircut. We exist to play our part in helping people feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside once they leave our chairs.

The Deadstock Story

Deadstock Barbershop was founded by Christopher Minnieweather, whose journey into barbering began far from Rockwall, in Portland, Oregon. Growing up on Portland’s north side, Christopher was heavily influenced by basketball and sneaker culture. With the Nike World Campus just minutes from his home and professional athletes regularly present in his schools and programs, his early dreams revolved around sports and sneakers.

That path shifted at age 15, when Christopher received his first pair of barber clippers from his older brother. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling. Barbering gave him purpose—and a way to serve people both externally and internally through confidence, care, and connection.

Christopher recognized that the feeling people get from a fresh haircut mirrors the feeling of putting on a brand-new pair of sneakers. There’s something uplifting that happens when you look sharp. As Deion Sanders famously said:

“If you look good, you feel good.
If you feel good, you play good.
If you play good, they pay good.”

That philosophy became the foundation of Deadstock Barbershop.

Over the past 20 years, Christopher has committed himself to mastering the craft of barbering through continuous education. His journey includes hands-on courses, national expos, workshops, and online training across the country. That experience now informs every haircut delivered inside Deadstock Barbershop.

Beyond the shop, Christopher shares his knowledge with a global audience through the Deadstock Barbershop YouTube channel, where thousands of barbers and clients learn about grooming, technique, and longevity in the industry. Education, consistency, and growth remain core pillars of the Deadstock standard.

What truly drives Christopher’s pursuit of mastery is his genuine love for people. Through listening, encouragement, and attention to detail, Deadstock Barbershop has built a culture centered on care, confidence, and craftsmanship—making sure every client leaves fresh from head to toe.
